As lifelong motorcycling fanatics, we made the move to Portugal with one goal in mind: to balance remote work with our shared passion for two wheels.

We’ve now settled in a peaceful valley just outside Silves, in the stunning Western Algarve. Surrounded by nature, yet close to town, it’s the perfect base for both relaxation and adventure. The beauty of this place is something we never take for granted and we love sharing it with like minded people from all over the world.

Over the years, we’ve embraced the more adventurous side of motorcycling, learning how to tackle trails, gravel, and off road challenges. While we don’t claim to be professionals, we’re passionate about helping others discover the joy and freedom of adventure riding. Whether you're just getting started or simply looking for a quick break in a stunning location, you’ll find a warm welcome here.

Honda 50 to Adventure Rider

My motorcycling journey began at 16 on a humble Honda 50cc. Life took its natural course, marriage and children meant a 20 year pause from riding. But in 2009, I found my way back to two wheels, and that quickly evolved into touring across Europe and beyond.

A trip to South Africa in 2014 changed everything. With significant off road riding involved, it became clear that proper training was no longer optional, it was essential! I began attending Off Road Skills training regularly and was fortunate to receive mentorship from experienced Dakar riders. That guidance sparked a deep passion for off road and adventure motorcycling.

Since then, I’ve enjoyed multi week motorcycle adventures through Australia, South Africa, the United States, Portugal, and Spain, each trip adding new lessons and unforgettable memories.

While I don’t claim to be a highly skilled off road rider, I’m always excited to share what I’ve learned with others, especially those just starting out on their own adventure journey. If I can help build your confidence, show you the ropes, or simply ride alongside you, then I’m doing what I love.

From Scooter to Single Track – A Rider’s Journey

Like Greg, my motorcycling story began at 16, zipping around on a little scooter. Family life took over and I stepped away from riding for 20 years.

When Greg got back on two wheels, I started out as a pillion until I was told (very politely) not to interfere. So, in 2010 I decided it was time to get back in the saddle myself and renewed my motorcycle license.

We embarked on countless road trips together, but it wasn’t until a trip to South Africa in 2014 that our passion for off road riding and adventure travel truly ignited.

As a woman in the world of adventure motorcycling, I’ve faced my fair share of challenges, especially around height, confidence and some of the mental hurdles that can make this space feel intimidating for women. But step by step, I’ve worked through them and I’m proud of how far I’ve come.

Every ride still teaches me something new and every challenge makes me a stronger rider. That journey gives me the joy of being able to share my experience not just with other women, but with men too, because confidence and growth on a bike isn’t about gender. It’s about mindset, support and showing up.
